Free outside dining space

The Brief

To convert an existing lean-to extension of a Georgian country house, providing an internal dining space opening to a large outside terrace.

The Work Included:

• Demolishing the existing lean-to
• Excavation to reduce the outside levels.
• Sympathetically rebuilding an extension to blend with existing house.
• Installing a 7 metre Swedish folding door with a flush threshhold.
• Forming retaining walls to the perimeter of the terrace.
• Laying Welsh stone flooring to the inside and outside areas.
• Installing contemporary lighting and under floor heating.
